"It's Here" is a beautiful collection of music that comes from a talented experimental filmmaker and artist, Jess Parnell. The tracks included in this collection were carefully produced by her for her video art and performances. In 2019, Parnell embarked on a journey to explore the world of myth and myth-making through her artwork. Her exhibition, "Within Without" at The ZigZag Building in Glastonbury (2019), featured stunning ceramic sculptures that excavated her internal archetypes, such as the Goddess 'Lilith' and her primitive, wild self. During the Covid-19 Pandemic Parnell began producing, experimental short videos using her smartphone, which has since become her primary creative output. In 2023, she began developing her music from minimal sound samples to compositions for her videos, using sampling from old records, field recordings, and her own voice. This led to a series of collaborations with international musicians she met online. The videos produced between 2023 and the present day were filmed in various locations, including the New Forest, the artist's home, and other places where magic could "happen." Parnell creates a supernatural phantasia of everyday life by projecting myths and mysteries onto the scenes. Each of the sixteen videos has a unique soundtrack designed to enhance and reveal new psychological and emotional themes within the "action." The soundtracks are also meant to entertain and provoke discourse.

Parnell creates a sense of the mythological that comes from the here and now, from the earth, from substance, and from cultural memory. Her stunning works of art are a true reflection of her dedication to exploring the depth of human emotions and experiences.
